A modest row house gained functionality by converting unfinished garage space into a series of spaces housing a library, media room, and master suite for an artist and his family. The telescoping arrangement of spaces layers additional privacy to each successive space. Access to daylight paired with simple, bright forms and warm wood bring a sense of comfort to this previously dark, rough space.
